Skills Training

Maintaining technical abilities under game pressure is soccer skills. Each U5 and U6 team is gets 30 minutes, and U8 on up gets 1 hour of technical skills training per week by one of the clubs soccer trainers. Skills training gives your players many opportunities to repeat and refine the individual techniques that are needed in every soccer game. Skills training will be age appropriate and enjoyable at all levels of ability.

Many coaches have found that skills training provides a excellent hour of warm up, individual and small group activities, and afterwards often take their teams to another location for a final 30 minutes of large sided games or scrimmage.

In addition to team practices and weekly team based skills training, some parents and coaches arrange specialized sessions for their players. During these additional sessions, the trainers will focus on specific skills if requested by the parent or coach. Otherwise, the trainer will assess the player(s) and develop exercises for them.
Additional skills training sessions last 90 minutes. The cost is $30 for 1-3 players, $35 for 4-9 players, or $40 for 10 or more.

If you are interested in arranging additional skills training, please email our director of coaching at KimEskola@yahoo.com. We will respond with an email and work out the times, specific skills and payment arrangements.

Parent Testimonials

We arranged individual skills training for my daughter before she went to a weeklong soccer camp. Our main concern was her physical conditioning. The trainer's ability to hide an intense conditioning program in fun activities that helped her dribbling, passing, and shooting was amazing. This was a double benefit. I also found it of extra value that the trainer provided her with reading materials that made her a smarter player too.

Our son had been out of soccer for around 2 years. Since he had become a little burned out, we hoped that the individual skills training would help his skills, but also help him enjoy soccer again. We were completely satisfied because the trainer was very enthusiastic and very good at making some of the repetitive drills fun and competitive. Our son really enjoyed it.

We have used the private training over the past year with Bryant Soccer Club and have seen tremendous results. The one on one training specifically working on the areas my son needed to improve on has really helped him develop his game at a faster pace. The private training sessions are also great to get a few teammates together and work in small groups. The trainer we used was very professional and we definitely got our money's worth.
