Ages 8 and 9

  • Fun, Repetition, and Teamwork is the focus for these 8 and 9 year olds. Our hope here is that by now, these U10’s are finding a couple family members or friends in the neighborhood to play soccer with and against.

  • This group is for children who are 8 or 9 by July 31st.

The 8 and 9 year olds play in the Under 10 (U10) division. Teams are segregated by gender, have rosters of 10-12 players, and are often coached by a parent with some coaching exposure and soccer experience.

Teams are formed and coaches assigned by the club registrar about 2-3 weeks before the season starts, after players are registered. Level 2 players participate in a Soccer Skills Assessment prior to team assignment before the Fall season. Special requests, such as certain players being on the same team, will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.

Games are 6v6 with goalkeepers. In addition to playing other U10 teams within the Bryant Soccer Club at Midland Soccer Fields, this age begins the era of playing against other teams within the Central Arkansas Soccer League (CASL).

U10 Level 2 teams also are invited to play in statewide tournaments. The cost of these are set by the tournament officals, and in addition to the seasonal registration fee.

Each player will play at least 50% of each game they attend at the Recreational Level. If you find that this is not so with your child, let us know by using our 'Contact Us' page. In addition to games, each team practices twice per week, and attends a weekly skills training with one of our professional trainers. See our 'Skills Training' section in the menu to the left.

The Fall season generally goes from early September to mid November. Spring season usually runs from early March to mid May.

There are 8 Level 1 games per season. Level 1 games are played on Saturdays as scheduled by the club.

Scheduling for our Level 2 teams are done by CASL (Central Arkansas Soccer League). Check back here in early September to find the Bryant Soccer U10 Level 2 teams schedules.

  • All players must have a completed Medical Release Form turned into their coach before playing MedReleaseForm.pdf .
